OASIS International Hospital, Beijing: Language and Contacts

OASIS International Hospital (北京明德医院) is a private hospital at 9 Jiuxianqiao North Road in Beijing's Chaoyang District. Its English site makes a specific language promise, Chinese and English, and separately lists many other languages spoken by its patients and staff. Telling those two statements apart is the most useful thing to do before you book.

What the language promise actually says

The hospital's bilingual service page makes three distinct statements:

  1. It provides bilingual service in Chinese and English.
  2. Interpreters help patients and families make appointments, and bilingual services are free of charge and available at all times. If you need an interpreter during your appointment, the page asks you to contact the hospital as soon as possible.
  3. Its patients and staff come from multilingual backgrounds, followed by a list: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, French, Spanish, Japanese, Tagalog, Dutch, Korean and others. The customer service team says it reviews patients' language needs in order to expand multilingual services.

Only the first two are a service description. The third tells you which languages people at the hospital speak, not that an interpreter in each of them is on duty when you visit. Anyone needing, say, Arabic or Korean should ask when booking whether an interpreter can be arranged, whether there is a charge, and whether they will stay for the whole consultation.

The 400 hotline is a mainland service number and may not connect from outside China; we have not tested it. The Beijing landline +86 10 5985 0333 is the one to try from abroad, though the embassy lists it as the emergency line. The site footer email [email protected] appears to belong to the hospital's parent company; we have not confirmed it is monitored for patient bookings. Ask which address to use before sending anything personal.

How OASIS takes bookings

The English appointments page offers two routes: the hospital's official WeChat account and phone. It does not describe an online booking form or a process for patients who are not yet in China. If you are writing from abroad, ask for written confirmation of the date, the doctor's name and the department before you make travel plans.

Insurance

The insurance page says the hospital has direct-billing agreements with many domestic and foreign insurers, and invites you to phone or bring your insurance card to the information desk to check your personal benefits. The list of insurers on that page is shown as images that we did not read, so we do not name them or give a number. Ask your insurer directly whether OASIS is in its network, whether outpatient visits are billed directly, and whether admission needs a guarantee letter. If you are paying yourself, see our payment guide for visitors.

Urgent care at OASIS

The German embassy's Beijing list gives +86 10 5985 0333 as a 24-hour emergency line for OASIS and notes English service. The hospital pages we read describe a 24-hour hotline but did not give an emergency department description. Before relying on it for urgent care, confirm by phone. If someone is seriously ill or injured, the ambulance number in Beijing is 120.

Arriving

Jiuxianqiao is in north-east Chaoyang District. The hospital publishes a navigation page and a virtual tour, which we did not use. Bring your passport for registration, your insurance card if you have one, and any reports the hospital asked for; the visit preparation guide has the full list. Our Beijing guide covers arrival and transport, and the visa guide covers entry rules.

Questions for OASIS

Ask which email address to use before you write in detail.

  1. Which phone number or email should I use to book from outside China?
  2. Will my consultation be in English? If I need [language], can an interpreter attend, and is it free?
  3. Is [insurer] billed directly for outpatient visits, and what is needed for an admission?
  4. What would a first consultation and the likely tests cost, item by item?
  5. Does your emergency department see walk-in patients 24 hours a day?

What we read, and its limits

This profile rests on four pages of the hospital's English site (bilingual service, insurance, appointments and the contact footer) and on one outside source, the German embassy's Beijing medical list dated June 2026. The English site carries no publication dates, so we cannot tell how recently the language and insurance text was written. The insurer list could not be read as text, the appointments page offers no online form, and the site footer gives a parent-company email address. Where the embassy list adds something the hospital pages do not, such as the emergency landline, the table above names it as the source.

Several things a visitor from abroad would want are simply not described on the pages we read: a booking route for patients who are not yet in China, a secure channel for sending previous reports, remote consultations before travel, or how reports are handed over after the visit. That does not mean OASIS cannot help with them; it means you will need to ask, and get the answer in writing.

OASIS has not checked this page. Why we never rank hospitals is explained in the editorial policy, and our sourcing rules in how we verify. Browse other hospitals on the hospital index or compare Beijing with Shanghai and Shenzhen through the city overview. Figures we can source are collected on the costs page, kinds of planned care on the treatments page, our coordination fee on the pricing page, who we are on the about page, and what we store in the privacy notice.
